Experts in Mold Testing & Inspection for Homeowners & Business Owners

CLG Mold Xperts is a leading mold inspection company in Florida. We provide unbiased mold testing by carrying out a thorough evaluation of your property to identify the type of mold and the airborne mold spore concentration.

We start by carrying out a comprehensive visual evaluation and inspection of your property using a thermal imaging camera and moisture meter throughout the property.

Signs that you have a mold problem

  • The Smell of Mold: One of the simplest ways to find mold is to perform the age-old smell test. Mold gives off a musty or stale stench if it is present. It smells stale outside and has a musty and moist smell inside the property.
  • Visible Mold Growth: Mold leaves behind splotchy, discolored spots that are an obvious indicator and simple to spot.
  • Water Leaks and Intrusions: These frequently cause the formation of mold. There will probably be a mold infestation wherever there’s a leak in your property.

Why is Mold Testing Necessary?

Mold growth is a frequent concern as it can result from a simple leak or water incursion. Mold can cause a variety of health conditions as well as significant property damage.

  • Mold testing allows you to know the type of mold you’re dealing with. In addition to telling us how many spores there are, the lab result will also categorize the type of mold you have in your home or business.
  • To stop the spread of the mold. Mold spreads quite rapidly. It can invade in as little as a day and grow in only 48 hours or less. You can stop mold from spreading through your space if you find it early and get rid of it for good.
  • It helps in locating moisture in your property. Even if mold is not currently developing in your home or business space, there may be places where it could be. A mold inspection can help you find leaks and wet areas in your home, which can help prevent mold development and property damage.

Our Mold Inspection Process

  • We thoroughly examine your house to determine the presence of mold, the type of mold present, and the level of airborne mold spores.
  • We’ll then gather surface contact swab samples, wall cavity air samples, and attic/basement samples.
  • We deliver the samples for a TDLR mold analysis.
  • Once we have the results, we offer a report with our findings, lab results, and remediation suggestions.
  • We also provide mold removal services in addition to offering post-remediation testing and certification.

The most crucial part of the assessment when mold issues are discovered in a property is to determine the root cause of the problem. Once the source is known, it can be fixed, and then mold remediation can be done to get rid of the mold problems.

Our team is available 24/7 to help you uncover and stop further mold growth.

Why do I need to pay for a mold inspection/testing when we know the mold is already there?

There are important reasons why we cannot just go straight to mold removal. Here are a few of them:

  1. We don’t know what type of mold we’re dealing with. The lab will identify the types of mold you have on your property and let us know the spore count.
  2. A Mold remediation protocol is a must before carrying out any mold removal of areas 10sq ft and higher. You cannot write a mold remediation protocol if you do not have a mold report from a third-party lab.

A mold remediation protocol will list all the steps to removing the mold in the most efficient way possible. It usually has a diagram of what areas were affected and where to place your drying equipment, along with steps on how to properly clean and wipe down the property before getting a post-remediation verification.

  1. Post Remediation Verification (PRV) is taken after all the steps have been completed in your mold remediation protocol. Without the initial testing, we won’t be able to compare spore counts of the mold reports.
